Project Overview

DeShazo Group joined the master planning team for the future campus of Parkland Hospital, a pivotal project within the Dallas Medical District. Collaborating with Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, we helped shape a visionary plan for a high-density, transit-integrated medical campus that supports seamless mobility for patients, staff, and emergency operations.

1. Developed concepts for future Light Rail Transit (LRT) and bus facility connections
2. Ensured compatibility with surrounding transit systems and regional planning efforts
3. Designed a pedestrian- and transit-friendly urban grid

🛣️ Mobility Infrastructure & Access Planning

1. Created roadway and access layouts to support dense medical development
2. Planned for internal circulation, including street-running shuttles and overhead pedestrian bridges
3. Emphasized connectivity between Parkland, UT Southwestern, and Children’s Medical Center
